February has been a month of progress, professional development, and proactive maintenance advice at MGi. Here’s what we’ve been up to!
Project Milestones: First Fix Completed in Berkshire
This month, we successfully completed the first fix for an ongoing project in Berkshire. The project involves installing an efficient air conditioning and heating system within a strict budget to replace a traditional gas boiler and radiators.
Project Scope
The client, who owns an existing multi-use cottage, required a cost-effective, energy-efficient solution. This was achieved using:
- Daikin multi-split equipment
- 2 x 5MXM90A9 multi-split condensers
- 1 x FNA vertical mounted ducted unit – concealed behind a large flatscreen TV cabinet in the meeting room, with grilles built into the carpentry
- 7 x Stylish wall-mounted units in matt black, installed in the bedrooms, lounge, and offices
The second fix is scheduled for late March to early April. We look forward to seeing the project come together.

“Would you please be able to pass on my huge thanks to the engineer Steve who completed the works today? I was in the middle of a call and realised I hadn’t said thank you properly! Thank you also for your speedy help getting this fixed – really appreciate it.”
Great work, Steve and the wider team for another fast and reliable service!
Industry Focus: Heating Maintenance as Temperatures Drop
With the colder months still here, keeping heating systems in top condition is key to efficiency, cost savings, and home comfort. Our recent social posts highlighted essential HVAC maintenance tips:
Monthly: Check air filters, clear vents, and test the thermostat.
Seasonally: Bleed radiators, flush the boiler, and inspect insulation.
Warning Signs: Rising energy bills, cold spots, leaks, or unusual noises mean it’s time for a professional check.
Why schedule professional servicing?
✔️ Thorough system inspections
✔️ Carbon monoxide safety checks
